    HELP WANTED  Accounting Assistant

    Accounting Assistant

    Location: New Era, MI

    Tri County Feed Service is actively seeking a motivated accounting professional to join team in New Era, Michigan. This position will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer with regular interaction with store managers and other team members. The accounting assistant will help keep financial records, prepare reports and update financial information. The ideal candidate must be proficient in QuickBooks, Excel and Word and be familiar with accounting procedures, best practices, laws, standards regulations and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Proven accounting experience required.

    This position is for either full-time or part-time employment, to be discussed with the chosen applicant. Minimum 20 hours per week (approximate) with potential to grow. Flexible hours available to the right applicant.


    Assist CFO in maintaining financial records, account reconciliations, forecasting and borrow base.

    Payroll responsibilities, including preparing, fulfilling, and distributing employee paychecks and all tax deposits and payroll reporting. 

    Assist CFO in financial analysis and preparation of reports


    Desired Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

    5 + years accounting experience in Quickbooks, payroll, retail, receivables, and payables

    Aptitude for Human Resources and IT beneficial, but not required

    Deadline-Oriented with strong organizational and time management skills, ability to meet deadlines

    Ability to work independently / self-motivated
