The lush farmlands of central West Michigan have been the Dahl family’s home for over 140 years, beginning with our great-great-grandfather who came from Denmark and established a farm on Fruitvale Road in Montague.
Instilled in us are the simple joys of family, neighborliness, hard work, nurturing the soil, caring for animals, and preserving our environment. These values, along with a desire to support local farmers, led our family to open what is now known as Tri-County Feed Service in 1952.

To further support you, we keep a Livestock Nutritionist and a Farm Rep Specialist on staff. Our Specialist, TJ Murphy, will visit your farm or home to listen and observe. He then brings the information back to John, who provides expert recommendations on feed product selection, diet planning, maintenance programs, and modifications tailored to your specific needs and goals.
